Position Description:

Role: Automation Tester
Designation: SE/SSE
Years of Experience - 5-8 years of relevant experience in Manual and Automation Testing
Location: Bengaluru

CGI is looking for a Senior Test Engineer with 5-7 years of experience who has worked preferably in Utilities domain
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and review test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
Define test frameworks, preconditions, and reporting functions to guide others.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Identify, document, and track software bugs and defects using appropriate tracking tools.
Diagnose and debug problems to determine root causes and solutions.
- Analyze test results to ensure software meets quality standards and product requirements.
- Documenting all test scripts and test evidence
- Hybrid Testing: Design and execute comprehensive manual test cases for new features while simultaneously identifying candidates for automation.
- Python Automation: Develop, maintain, and extend automated test suites using Python (specifically frameworks like Pytest, Robot, or Selenium).
- API Testing: Perform manual and automated testing of RESTful APIs to ensure seamless backend integration.
- Defect Management: Proactively identify, log, and track bugs in Jira, providing detailed reproduction steps and logs for development teams.
Mitigating risk to the business by employing strong
planning techniques
Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes.
- Ability to work in team and comfortable working with ambiguity. Appreciation and adherence of processes - Agile, quality, compliance, and Knowledge Management

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Mandatory Skills: Manual Testing, Safe Agile, Automation and Mobile Testing
Desired Skills: RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server)
