About the Team 

Working closely with the QA Team Leaders and other team members on various Payments & Credit projects, you will provide the high-quality deliveries and analytical skills needed to enhance and support the financial systems at Next.

About the Role 

In this role , you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of Payments management systems and related applications. This involves both manual and automated testing.

You'll need to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases. This requires strong analytical skills. A significant portion of the role involves developing and maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts. This requires programming skills and knowledge of industry-standard automation tools and practices. You'll be responsible for identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.

You'll need to work with developers to ensure issues are resolved promptly. You'll provide fault-finding expertise, and following issues through to their resolution as well as providing out-of-hours support, as and when required, to cover key business events and ensuring clear and concise documentation for a variety of audiences.

 

Essential Criteria 

 

Sound knowledge of SQA concepts, methodologies, tools and techniques Experience with preparing/maintaining QA Artefacts( eg. test plans, test case document and automation scripts) Experience in all phases of the software life cycle. Better understanding of Payments systems.  Knowledge on test automation and  test framework  Experience in Azure DevOps/Jira Identify and escalate (where appropriate) testing risks and issues Experience in Cross browser testing and testing in different Browsers.  In hand experience in Browser Stack and other simulators. Strong OOPS concept and good programming skills in .NET. Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright/Selenium web driver for Test Automation. Good understanding of XPath, CSS selectors, and web element handling. Proven experience in understanding automation test frameworks like BDD, page object model or Data -Driven Frameworks. Experience with at least one unit testing framework like NUnit or TestNG to structure and organize automated tests. Experience with Reqnroll (Specflow) and its use in implementing BDD framework in playwright or selenium. Experience using Git for version management.  Proficient in using the assertions when required. Basic understanding of how to write effective prompts to get the desired output from Copilot. Ability to design comprehensive test cases covering different scenarios and edge cases. Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with the latest testing trends and tools.

 

Desirable Criteria 

Experience working in a Payments other related environment Applied knowledge of agile, iterative, and waterfall development processes Experience with performance and security testing. Knowledge of cloud testing platforms. ISTQB certification or equivalent Experience of using Azure DevOps Experience in API testing using Postman Previous experience in systems like Mainframes. 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or any other technical related degree 4 + years of industry experience Good communication and analytical skills, both written and verbal.
