The Opportunity:
Join alongside an Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineering team supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS). As part of the ACAS Legacy Operations and Modernization Teams, you will be responsible for building, improving, and maintaining the implementation of both the legacy and the new Tenable architectures for the DAF. As the Senior Tenable Engineer, you will work with the ACAS Solution Architect, Chief Architect, and Chief Engineer to develop and maintain the ACAS Solution, reporting to the ACAS Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
Develop, improve, and maintain the new EITaaS Tenable Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) with a focus in the following technology areas: Azure Cloud, Red Hat Linux, Tenable Software Solutions for ACAS, Scripting (Python, PowerShell, other languages as necessary)Maintain availability, performance, and health of the legacy ACAS solution for approximately 100 DAF bases.Perform system administration of the legacy ACAS solution, including account management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and issue remediation.Perform required system patching, hotfixes, and other updates to maintain system stability and system accreditation within the legacy ACAS solution.Aid in the development of the Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in conjunction with the ACAS Engineering LeadIdentify technical continuous improvement and project execution efficienciesDevelop and implement improvements to existing processes and practicesDevelop topology and flow diagrams with team technical staffDevelop, and brief, solution presentation material to internal, program, and/or Engineering teamsDevelop automation scripts and code efficienciesPerform, and maintain, an Enterprise Red Hat Linux Operating Infrastructure with integrations into RHEL Satellite and RHEL AnsibleDeploy, and maintain, Kubernetes containers within Azure and VMWare HypervisorsPreferred experience with DevOp tools and processes and implementing CI/CD pipelinesPreferred experience with implementing automation using change manager tools such as Ansible, Puppet, ChefPreferred experience with scripting using Bash, Python, and RubyAnnual Performance Objectives
Passed all Department of the Air Force internal Gate Reviews without rejectionAbility to white-board the solution ad-hoc with the project team without the need to reference existing solution materialsImplement identified process improvement per quarterQualifications:
Required:
Must have an active Secret security clearance10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).7+ Years of Experience with ACAS Solutions; Tenable preferred with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience3+ Years of Experience deploying, automating, and hardening Red Hat Linux Operating SystemsExperience supporting the Department of DefenseExcellent communication skills with experience briefing internal project team members and DAF stakeholdersOne of the following Certifications:CISSP or equivalent DoD 8140 Certification Compliance as a Tenable Solution Architect.-________________________________________________________________________________________

The proposed salary range for this position is:
