Senior Telecom Engineer

We are supporting a global engineering organisation in the offshore and industrial energy sector to hire a Senior Telecom Engineer for their Singapore-based team. This role focuses on telecommunication system design, integration, and coordination across large?scale technical projects.
The position involves aligning engineering tasks with project goals, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring smooth execution throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Engineering & System Design Develop and design telecom systems such as radio communication, security systems, navigation aids, and wired communication networks. Prepare drawings, schematics, layouts, and documentation required for engineering and installation. Create technical specifications for equipment procurement and support equipment selection. Prepare material lists, equipment registers, and other technical inputs for reports and installation planning. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated and compliant design solutions. Project Participation Support the Project Manager / Lead Engineer in day?to?day project implementation. Contribute across all engineering phases — from feasibility studies to conceptual design, FEED, and detailed engineering. Interpret customer and regulatory requirements and coordinate with certifying bodies when needed. Attend customer meetings, technical discussions, and site visits as required. Technical Areas (Experience required in at least ONE)
Radio Communication Systems
Examples: GMDSS, microwave links, SCADA radio, trunked radio, crane radio, radio dispatch, satellite phones.
Security Systems
Examples: CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, PABX/VoIP, personnel tracking.
Navigation & Marine Aids
Examples: radar, ECDIS, autopilot, AIS, DGPS, LRIT, echo sounder, VDR, nav/obstruction lights, fog horn, RACON, BNWAS, VSAT, entertainment systems.
Wired Communication Systems
Examples: PAGA, page?party, talk?back, analog PABX, sound?powered phones, driller communication systems. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or IT (mandatory). Relevant industry background such as oil & gas, marine, shipyard, petrochemical, or power plants (mandatory). Ability to guide junior telecom engineers and manage technical deliverables. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem?solving capabilities. Effective communication skills and a collaborative working style. Able to work independently and as part of cross?functional teams.
