About the Role:
As a Senior Technology Engineer, you will represent the Engineering Technology Center for Flavors, with a primary focus on the North America region and potential support for South America. In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving strategic technology investments and project execution across our manufacturing network.

What You'll Do:Guide strategic capital investment decisions in the region, managing an annual portfolio of $20-35MHelp prioritize investments to maximize return on invested capitalIdentify and drive technology and automation strategy across the regionLead key projects from start to finish, managing process engineering, project management, and construction oversightPartner with plant teams to determine the most effective approach for project executionConnect regional stakeholders with centers of excellence expertise across ADMAct as the primary point of contact for stakeholders throughout project lifecyclesDrive accountability through readiness gate (RG), front end loading (FEL), and authorization for expenditure (AFE) processesChampion new technology proposals and innovationsSupport plant personnel in diagnosing operational challenges and recommending solutionsLead initiatives for advanced shop floor automation, process control, and optimizationDrive a culture of safety and food safety through technology solutionsImplement performance metrics to track and improve process effectivenessOversee capital planning, tracking, approval, and project closure for operational initiativesAct as a primary user of WAVE software to manage the regional initiative portfolioSupport site capital budgeting for continuous improvement and non-discretionary projects
What You'll Need:
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred)10-15+ years of experience leading complex engineering projects in food manufacturing, with demonstrated expertise in liquid blending, liquid emulsions, and dry blendingExperience with sanitary design principles and applicationsStrong understanding of process controls and digital technologiesCommitment to safety practices and awareness for the wellbeing of othersExcellent communication and collaboration skills for working across all organizational levelsComfort working in manufacturing environments, including areas with extreme temperatures, and ability to walk long distances, climb stairs and ladders, and navigate confined spacesWillingness to travel up to 25% to sites primarily in North America, with some travel to Latin America
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in EngineeringExperience in dairy, flavors, or ingredients manufacturing (5+ years)Spray drying experience in the food industryDirect experience with flavor manufacturing operations including spray drying, dry blending, emulsions, reactions, separations, distillation, and filtrationControls and plant automation knowledgeCAD modeling experienceProficiency in Portuguese and/or SpanishExperience in food, pharmaceutical, or bioprocess engineeringBudget management experience for large-scale projectsBackground in operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies
SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a results-focused approachStrategic thinking and planning capabilitiesSelf-directed work style with ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyProficiency with standard software applicationsFinancial acumen and business mindsetProject management capabilitiesFluent in English
