The Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC) team helps drive efficient, effective, and ethical business practices at Cisco. Our globally connected team partners across all regions and business groups, offering valuable experience and exposure for future leaders.
Our mission is to help the Audit Committee and Management maintain strong internal controls and support effective resource alignment with Cisco’s objectives.
Your Impact
Perform technology audits, including IT (information technology) risk assessments and control evaluations. Collaborate with technical experts and senior management to identify root causes, propose solutions, and communicate findings in business terms. Utilize robotic process automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to automate audit tasks and improve performance. Apply data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to interpret complex information, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations. Strengthen overall team capability by sharing your knowledge and co-mentoring each other. Design, test, and optimize controls for automated processes, while maintaining strong documentation and adhering to audit standards. Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes, tools, and methodologies.Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in technology audits, risk management, cybersecurity compliance, or security engineering, preferably in the technology sector. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field. Working knowledge of audit methodologies, risk assessments, and IT controls. Experience using RPA or AI to support audit testing and data analysis. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of risk and controls frameworks such as Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT), ISO 27000 series, or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC). Experience with business process audits and understanding of IT alignment with business objectives. Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver audits on schedule. Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python) and data visualization. Familiarity with AI ethics, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in the use of automation and analytics.Why Cisco
