Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Technician - Digital Delivery will be responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) deliverables for large-scale infrastructure and bridge projects, including utilities, landscape works, and structural components. The role involves overseeing BIM outputs from multiple project parties, ensuring cross-discipline model coordination, and maintaining compliance with project BIM standards and the BIM Execution Plan (BEP). The BIM Lead / Coordinator will act as the central point of contact for BIM-related matters between the supervision team, design teams, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Coordination of BIM Deliverables

Oversee BIM deliverablesEnsure effective model coordination between all project disciplines.Organize and lead regular BIM coordination meetings and technical workshops.Coordinate with external project participants to manage tie-ins and interface points.

Model Review & Compliance

Review submitted models for compliance with the BEP, project standards, and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.Perform quality checks on geometry, metadata, and model structure.Facilitate clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or equivalent software.

Information Management

Ensure proper use of data exchange protocols and the Common Data Environment (CDE).Track model submissions, revisions, and approval workflows.Support document control teams in organizing model-related deliverables and ensuring traceability.

Reporting

Prepare and issue weekly or milestone-based BIM coordination reports summarizing progress, identified issues, and potential risks.Update the supervision management team on BIM coordination status and outstanding actions.

Standards & Compliance

Ensure all modeling works align with the client’s BIM standards and project-specific requirements.Enforce adherence to established naming conventions, classification systems, and data structures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Minimum 7 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably on infrastructure and bridge projects.Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and ACC/BIM 360.Strong understanding of multi-discipline coordination, particularly for civil, structural, and landscape works.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
