**Job Description** BAE Systems is seekingan experienced Technical Writer and Project Coordinatorto support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system.The candidate needs to be a detail-oriented self-starter who can work collaboratively with engineering teams, peers, leadership, and customers to successfully deliver clear, concise, and accurate products ensuring compliance with government and military standards such as MIL-STD-40051 and Navy standards such as SECNAVINST 5210.16.Products developed will support weapons systems development, technical assessments, and operational readiness, and can include SOPs, white papers, executive briefings, and contract deliverables. The candidate will also provide general project-management-related support across various programs and efforts. Key responsibilities of the Technical Writer/Project Coordinator include, but are not limited to: + Format, edit, and maintain technical documentation, ensuring compliance with required contractual/government/military standards + Support configuration management and version control of documents + Assist with preparing deliverables for contract milestones and audits + Monitor and track progress of document development and approvals to ensure alignment with planned timelines + Maintain document repositories and ensure accessibility for authorized personnel + Maintain high quality standards for deliverables, consistently producing professional and polished documents + Support training and communication strategies ensure smooth end-user transitions to new processes and/or systems + Support Technical Program Managers by: + Tracking action items + Updating status reports and schedules + Scheduling and supporting meetings + Capturing and distributing meeting minutes \#LI-VW1 \#LI-Hybrid **and the U.S. Navy s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP)** Our organization has supported the U.S. Navy s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) continually since the program s inception in the 1950s. We develop, engineer, manufacture, and support products and systems to protect national security and keep people safe. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree in business, communications/English, engineering, or other related field + 4 years of experience as a technical writer supporting large programs, preferably Department of War or US Navy + Experience supporting project teams of varying size and scope + Familiarity with engineering disciplines such as systems engineering + Exceptional attention to detail, especially regarding grammar and punctuation, with the ability to convey complicated topics in a simple manner + Highly proficient in editing and project tools as well as document repositories (Adobe Acrobat, MS Office Suite, Sharepoint, Confluence, and Jira) **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + CAPM certification + CPTC certification + Knowledge of US Navy documentation standards + Experience supporting US Navy SSP Strategic Weapons System **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
