Supervises the work of a small number of engineers, scientists, technicians, design/drafters, or performs in an individual technical contributor role. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Maintains detailed knowledge of engineering, scientific or environmental sciences concepts and principles. Acts as mentor to lower level employees. Participates to a limited degree in new business development. Devises new approaches to problems encountered and coordinates various technical aspects of work. Assists in devising non-standard or innovative approaches to solving moderately complex practice issues.
