The Workplace Services Engineering – Stock Plan Technology organization leads the development and maintenance of Schwab's Workplace Services platforms. Our team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, who embraces being a technical leader and has a real passion for helping teams to build compelling applications using state-of-the-art technologies. Position Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate new initiatives to support the technical and business strategy of the organizationPlan the delivery of the multi-team initiatives and activitiesDrive large, complex projects to completion and execute roadmaps, while championing business and technical goalsManage interdependencies across a high number of scrum teams and organizationsLead and coordinate the establishment of lower environment operations and test data management frameworkLiaise with a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure needs and expectations are metWork across specialized business and technical partners to broker decisions and negotiate trade-offsCommunicate effectively at an executive and team levelMediate and resolve conflicts, maintain a strategic focus when making decisionsDemonstrate sound judgment regarding decisions and escalations with complete informationProvide supervision and direction to project teams to ensure successful executionEnsure quality and evidence of project documentationUnderstanding of Agile processes, team velocity and the ability to forecast progress accordinglyCollaborate across Design, Development, QA, Operations, and Governance teams to help remove roadblocksCoordinate with external vendors and internal technical and legal teams to manage relationships and contractual agreementsWhat you haveRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or equivalent preferred) with 6+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross-functional projectsRequires specialized expertise in service delivery, lower environment operations and test data management in addition to working knowledge of related functions and sub-functionsProven ability to earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders through focused execution of business prioritiesProven ability to deliver highly visible, complex projectsAbility to navigate and be successful in a highly matrixed organizationFocused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressureDemonstrated and applied experience establishing and delivering complex projectsExcellent problem solving and analytical thinking skillsExtensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools and methodologiesExperience successfully driving initiatives in an organizationPreferred Qualifications:
Requires knowledge of Java, .NET, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), Window/Linux Infrastructure, Oracle, SQL DB, Mongo DBUnderstanding of the Equity Compensation industry and how work contributes to the achievement of objectivesExercises judgment within undefined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions. Ability to read a room and drive the necessary outcomes.In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
