Key job responsibilities
- Work with engineers, developers, program and product managers to coordinate the launch of different services into special regions.
- Develop and manage comprehensive program roadmaps spanning multiple AWS workstreams.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and high-risk areas, and deliver against these in partnership with service and operations teams.
- Produce and evaluate launch, resource, and compliance metrics.
- Work with AWS service owners around the world to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Manage the build and deployment of new tooling to streamline and automate security, testing, and region launch related initiatives.
This role will require you to obtain and maintain a government security clearance and meet Swedish nationality requirements.
A day in the life
As Senior Technical Program Manager for our team, you will be responsible for planning, delivery and ongoing development of a strategic new AWS region. You will work at the forefront of cloud technologies, with interactions across the full breadth of AWS services. You will coordinate and influence teams across multiple disciplines (product, operations, engineering, leadership) and translate global strategy into local execution.
In this role, you’ll need to be passionate about delivering services to customers while also possessing a solid understanding of business needs. You will need a strong technical background, enabling you to produce concrete specifications and work closely with engineering to drive implementation. As part of our team, you’ll need a track record of operating independently with strong judgment, and you'll need to be to be creative and proactive in developing solutions.
