Senior Technical Lead for System Security

The ideal candidate will identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to systems and networks and implement necessary security measures. **The Senior Technical Lead for System Security will be responsible for** : + Providing Security expertise in the designing, building, implementing and operation of a modern Identity and Access Management (IAM) Solution that will replace the existing solution using AWS GovCloud in a FedRAMP environment. + Supporting the Operations and Maintenance of the existing solutions (built using Oracle, IBM and Cloud Base technology) until such time as the new solution is ready for transition + Managing and overseeing verification of cyber security policies for onsite systems + Identifying security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to systems and networks + Implementing necessary security measures to nullify threats + Managing system cybersecurity POA&Ms (reviewing and verifying information) + Developing impact statements and mitigation strategies + Analyzing systems on the organization's network and verifying security measures meet required controls + Documenting non-compliant controls and developing mitigations to ensure risks are identified + Updating all attributes necessary to maintain security compliance + Verifying that cybersecurity requirements are met for each step in the risk management framework + Performing initial assessment of costs for security risks **Education and Experience:** + Ten (10)+ years of technical experience in Information Technology + Seven (7)+ years of technical experience with Application Security + Required certification: AWS Certified Security – Specialty + Additional preferred certifications (Security+, CASP, CCISO, CISM, CISSP, CAP) **Required Skills and Competencies:** + Strong technical understanding and experience working with directives, mandates, policies, and requirements from OPM, DHS, NIST, Department of Education, and Federal Student Aid + Ability to work independently on system security matters + Ability to perform complex technical tasks + Strong technical understanding of Information Technology systems and services + Experience in system security (boundary docs, ALs and inherited controls) + Strong technical understanding of Identity and Access Management and AWS GovCloud systems + Ability to obtain and maintain a Non-Sensitive / High Risk (Public Trust) security clearance (Tier 4/6c) + Expert knowledge of recent technological advances in computer science and engineering + Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Desired Skills and Competencies:** + Experience with large-scale highly available systems integrated with business-critical systems + Experience planning, managing, and coordinating multiple concurrent tasks with strict deadlines **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
