Responsibilities: Thales Research and Technology India is looking for a dynamic individual for driving technology developments and maturation in the domain of embedded software at the Thales Engineering Competence center, Bangalore.

As a senior technical lead, you will be responsible for defining new directions in the development of full stacks targeted for ARM / RISCV architectures. Along with the individual contributions on fostering growth of the embedded software domain, you will mentor on-going projects and help the team on technical troubleshooting and arriving at risk mitigation plans for existing deliverables or milestones. You will present the software activities of the team at important forums within Thales and outside and often collaborate with the Head, Thales Research and Technology India in strategy build-up for the team on this domain. You will have to act as a solid interface for the team in front of Thales engineering and business development teams.

Technical skills – essential:

Solid hands-on knowledge of Linux internals and device driversSolid hands-on knowledge of porting Linux based RTOSes on ARM / RISCV architecturesGood understanding of hypervisors / hardware virtualizationExperienced in technical documentation as per industrial standards (any specification like DO, ISO specifications should be okExcellent programming skills in C, C++, python, with good knowledge of data structures, pointers thread and memory managementSolid understanding of programming safety levels – thread safety, memory safety.Understanding of machine learning concepts, familiarity with AI tools, prompts etc.

Technical skills – desirable:

Deep understanding of computer architectures – CPUs, GPUs, TPUs, Multi-coresFamiliarity with hardware description languages like Verilog, VHDLKnowledge of Systems Modelling Languages will be a plusHands-on with hypervisors (KVMs, Xvisor etc) for ARM or any other platformsWorking knowledge of any learning system or LLM
