We are looking for an accountable and driven Senior Technical Delivery Manager to join Global Wealth Management Technology (GWMT) – where we develop and modernize the technology that powers the Global Wealth Management business lines. GWMT consists of departments with high performing agile teams working closely together to deliver, support, and maintain the many applications and ecosystems within Global Wealth. **Is this role right for you? In this role you will:** + Help drive strategy to transform current platforms using new technologies and tools available that best support the business needs. + Possess strong leadership skills to inspire, motivate, and guide team members to achieving their delivery goals. + Responsible for the design, architecture, and successful implementation of effective and quality solutions that resolve highly complex business problems and support business needs. + You posses a strong understanding of AI/ML development technical expertise with a vision to drive innovation for impactful solutions. + Effectively manage a team of technical professionals by setting performance expectations, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance and coaching. This includes leading the recruitment of talent and building high-performing teams. + Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and resolved. + Assist in the identification and mitigation of project risks before they become issues. + Identify and act on coaching opportunities at the individual and team level. + Conduct regular assessments of the team’s Agile Maturity and use the results to guide them to improved performance. + Coordinate operational readiness activities with associated teams (security, infrastructure, network, etc.) + Oversee and coordinate software release activities. + Effectively communicate with business functions, analysis, development, and quality assurance teams to align technology solutions with business needs. + Manage and drive the delivery of external vendor dependencies to ensure project milestones are met. + Drive accountability across internal project team members, business functional areas, external project teams, and external vendors. + Have a keen attention to detail to enable collaboration with various teams to ensure high quality of systems being developed and deployed. + The role requires interaction with business and technology leadership, consequently effective communications commensurate with the audience and the ability to promote an idea and gain consensus is critical. **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:** + 8+ years of software development experience with clear progression through the ranks, and 3+ years leading and building high-performance teams + Excellent communication skills to deliver presentations at an executive and project team level. + Experiences in a technical role in an Agile environment + Proven track record in delivering large-scale multi-year projects/program + Ability to lead software development teams on tight deadlines + Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders with an open mindset + Ability to quickly adapt and build a deep technical knowledge of their team’s deliverable and operating model + 5+ years of experience working with Java (e.g. Spring) + Familiar with open-source DevOps tools (Bitbucket/GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gradle, Docker) + Significant hands-on experience with multiple programming languages and SOLID principles, experience with a wide spectrum of technologies with emphasis on low latency, scalable, fault-tolerant platforms/applications with 24-7 Availability + Knowledge of Lean practices, eliminating waste, focusing on value delivery, small batch production, frequent delivery of working software, adapting to change. + Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to contextualize the bigger picture across the business landscape to set a strategy and execute on that plan across projects and products. + Ability to drive the execution of deliverables across the team through strong time management, organization, and communication skills. + Solid understanding of wealth management concepts, and workflows. + Education:, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
