Security Clearance:

This position is for an experienced Technical Accountant with a CPA license who will join the Aerostructures Accounting and Reporting Team. In this role, you will be heavily involved in revenue, technical support and writing, Mirabel subsidiary support, month end close and reporting processes.

In this role, you will apply your knowledge of technical accounting topics, including revenue recognition, to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. You will lead financial reporting analysis and manage key accounting projects from planning through execution. This includes developing and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams such as finance, accounting, sales, contracts, and legal, as well as coordinating with external auditors to support audit and compliance requirements.

This position can be worked remotely.

What You Will Do:

Analyze customer contracts to ensure all revenue elements are billed, measured, and correctly accounted.Be a subject matter technical expert for our business units and assist in the writing of technical memos, such as flight hour arrangements and bill and holds. Performs research for various accounting processes such as revenue recognition, contract assets, deferred revenue, accrued liabilities, backlog reporting and other areas as assigned.Cross collaborate with finance partners to calculate and book accruals.Record month-end journal entries.Prepare properly supported account reconciliations.Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process and ensure timely completion and accuracy.Develop and document standard work procedures.Support internal and external audits for process compliance and timely completion.Domestic Travel up to 25%

Must Have Qualifications:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience in technical accounting or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience in technical accountingMust hold an active CPA license

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
