The Leidos Corporate Tax Department is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team of tax professionals supporting our Corporate Office located in Reston, VA. This position will report to the International Tax Manager. The candidate should be a strong communicator, detail oriented, a team player who enjoys tax and is interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 4+ years of experience related to tax accounting.Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blendExceptional project management skills are required, with proactive process improvement experience.Strong accounting skills, including demonstrated ability in account reconciliationsStrong computer and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft ExcelMust be authorized to work in the U.S.Must be flexible with strong judgment and decision-making skillsMust have ability to prioritize workload in order to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.Must be organized and demonstrate problem solving abilityMust be comfortable with virtual communications and working with geographically disparate groupsMust have a strong attention to detail, yet understand and apply the degree of accuracy necessary for the task at handPreferred Qualifications:
CPA or Master’s Degree in TaxationExperience with Deltek, Costpoint, Hyperion and OneSource are a plusEnergetic and have a high sense of urgency while working on projectsA quick learner who is willing to take on new challenges and rolesA high level of confidence, detail orientation, integrity, self-motivation, and a hands-on approach to problem solvingSelf-starter, creative, team player, and positive attitudeCome break things (in a good way). Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
