How You’ll Make an Impact

Support all efforts for tax assurance, including customer billing and complianceDocument and research compliance tax data variancesValidate the reflection of the current month’s tax rate/rule changes in billing dataPerform audits of house geocode assignments for all company billing systemsValidate, test, and document all tax calculation engine configuration changes on a monthly basisConduct monthly validation of billing code configurations specific to tax across all billersProvide support for ad hoc reporting requests related to the monthly transaction tax data flowOffer assistance with tax estimatesCoordinate and communicate with various members of the tax, accounting, and billing departmentsCompile and communicate detailed data in a comprehensive and understandable format, both in written and verbal formsConduct research and preparing support documentation for sales and use tax audits

Required Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Experience

3+ years of transactional tax billing or audit review3+ years of data analysis

Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishProficient in Microsoft OfficeExperience with SQL a plusExperience with various tax systems including tax engines (Vertex, Suretax)Ability to research and resolve technical tax issuesAbility to analyze and interpret dataExperience with efficient processing of large data sets and/or data investigationStrong verbal and written communications skillsAble to proactively identify risks before they become problemsAbility to work independentlyKnowledge of telecommunications industry
