We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join our growing tax department. The ideal candidate will come from a public accounting background and bring strong technical knowledge, analytical capabilities, and client-facing experience. This role will play a critical part in managing tax compliance, tax provision preparation, and supporting tax planning initiatives for the company or our clients.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
Assist with ASC 740 tax provision calculations and documentation
Research complex tax issues and prepare technical memos
Support tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions and mitigate risks
Maintain compliance with current tax laws and regulations
Coordinate and respond to federal and state tax notices and audits
Assist in managing client relationships and supervising junior tax staff (if in a client service firm)
Participate in process improvements and implementation of tax software or systems as needed
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including accounting, legal, and external advisors
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s in Taxation (preferred)
3–5+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier firm preferred)
Strong understanding of U.S. tax codes, compliance, and reporting standards
Experience with tax provision software (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax, or similar)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax research tools (e.g., CCH, RIA Checkpoint)
Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
