We are seeking a strategic and systems-minded **Senior Talent Manager** to help advance this vision, with a specific focus on defining and activating enterprise-wide capabilities related to skills architecture, proficiency modeling, and platform-aligned talent experiences. This individual contributor role will connect strategy to execution, driving talent initiatives that deliver clear business impact. You’ll also help define the standards, tools, and frameworks that guide how skills intelligence powers talent practices and work flows—while enabling agentic, personalized career journeys for employees.

**Responsibilities**
**Enterprise Skills Architecture & Strategy**
Drive the evolution of Microsoft’s enterprise-wide skills architecture, including taxonomy design, proficiency modeling, and alignment with core talent practices.
Define frameworks and standards in partnership with key HR and Business stakeholders, and platform teams to ensure consistency, relevance, and scalability across the ecosystem.
**Integration into Talent Practices**
Partner with cross-functional teams to activate the skills and capabilities framework across core talent practices, driving consistency, scalability, business value and meaningful employee experiences.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Human Resources Centers of Excellence and business stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation, change readiness, and intuitive employee and manager experiences.
**Skills Intelligence & Insights**
Identify and prioritize opportunities to apply skills intelligence in innovative and responsible ways, including inference, validation, and insights that inform talent strategy. Partner with talent marketplace analytics team to align actionable insights for talent decisions and targeted business impact.
**Employee Experience & Platform Enablement**
Translate strategy into business and platform requirements that enable personalized, persona-based career experiences
Co-create user journeys, proof-of-concepts, and narratives that empower employees to navigate career growth with clarity and ownership.

**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field AND 7+ years experience in HR practices or program/project management
+ OR 10+ years experience in HR practices or program/project management
+ 3+ years experience managing large-scale or complex projects/programs
+ 7+ years of experience in business strategy, talent management, workforce transformation, or related fields
+ 2+ years of experience supporting skills transformation or capability architecture efforts at scale
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with AI-driven talent intelligence tools and skills inference approaches
+ Understanding of capability modeling, skills taxonomies, and their application across enterprise talent practices
+ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence across complex, matrixed organizations
+ Experience working with or translating requirements for talent platforms or employee-facing technologies
+ Ability to drive alignment and adoption across diverse stakeholder groups through storytelling, structured thinking, and change leadership
+ Experience supporting skills transformation or capability architecture efforts at scale
+ Background working in agile or product-oriented environments
+ Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
+ Drive for for building inclusive, empowering talent experiences that support employee growth and organizational agility
Talent Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
