**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
+ Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
+ Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
+ Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
+ Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
+ Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ 4+ years of Software Engineering experience in mainframe environment supporting brokerage and trading applications with strong domain knowledge.
+ Strong understanding of Stock Brokerage/Trading Business processes, including order management, trade execution, settlement., Securities Lending.
+ Solid knowledge of mainframe environments (e.g., COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, CHANGEMAN, NDM) and API integrations (REST/SOAP).
+ Experience with vendor management - Act as the primary liaison with third-party vendors, ensuring service levels are met and resolving escalations.
+ Experience with Production Mainframe Scheduling Tool – ZEKE
+ Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for ITSM processes (incident, change, and problem management).
+ Good communication skills and ability to drive adoption of enterprise capabilities, tools, and innovation improving availability in a multi-app ecosystem by evolving observability, monitoring, logging, synthetic monitoring. Exposure to SRE Concepts and Tools - especially Observability and Automation tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, SiteScope, Thousand Eyes etc).
+ Experience in SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence etc.
+ Exposure with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Harness, Azure DevOps, JSON/XML, YAML, github)
+ Experience working on cloud platforms PCF, Redhat OCP, Azure etc
**Job Expectations:**
+ Provide Production Support and be responsible for solving all Production Incidents. You may work in shifts as situations demand & provide on-call support during weekend/holidays. Required to be on 16x7 standby support & taking responsibility to maintain high availability of systems & applications.
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
+ Perform Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Testing and Validations.
+ Be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, build relationships with stakeholders & Vendors, and drive consensus on solutions.
+ Ability to drive Vendor Changes and ensure all Testing is done and Changes are implemented on time with no Issues.
+ Coordinate various Testing efforts with multiple affected Application SMEs and Vendors and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
+ Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
+ Review moderately complex technical changes that require an in-depth evaluation of Program Code and procedures.
