An opportunity has arisen to join our Image Process and AI Engineering team with.in the Systems Engineering group, working on the research, design and development of innovative technical solutions that meet customer requirements and business needs.
The role will involve leading the development of models of launcher and DEW (sub)systems throughout the product lifecycle for:
The successful candidate will be expected to work in the image process and AI model development activities for a set of products or solutions, alongside developing and mentoring other team members. They will have significant specialist knowledge in AI/ML techniques and/or DEW systems, alongside knowledge of the other areas below:
Matlab/Mathworks toolsetPython and AI/ML libraries, e.g. Pytorch, TensorflowObject Detection, Tracking and ClassificationMoving platform dynamicsControl and stabilisationRemote sensors and data latencyNetwork communicationsAlgorithm implementationReal time simulationSkills, qualifications or experience:
A relevant degree in an engineering discipline, or significant commensurate experienceExperience of development and validation of AI/ML algorithms, preferably in an industrial contextRobust analytical skills and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to analyse complex information and develop solutions on time and on budgetSelf-motivated, and capable of working on your own initiativeInterested in emerging technologies relevant to the businessExperience of mentoring/skills developmentGood verbal, written and technical presentation skillsMembership of relevant professional body#LI-CA1
