Where is the work:

From Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

What you will do:

Apply engineering knowledge in refrigeration, psychrometrics, and thermodynamics to analyze, design, and optimize system‑level performance for next‑generation air-cooled oil-free chillers.

Own the refrigeration system architecture, defining system requirements and integrating key components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion devices, airflow systems, and refrigerant distribution.

Build and run detailed system models and performance simulations to evaluate cycle efficiency, control interactions, and system behavior across the full operating envelope.

Design using advanced refrigeration simulation tools, prototyping, and laboratory testing, and clearly communicate how the design meets performance, safety, and reliability targets.

Define and validate control logic, sensor strategies, and safety features related to refrigerant management, compressor protection, low‑ambient operation, and system stability.

Use engineering judgment, analysis, and innovation to identify issues, generate solutions, and drive continuous system‑level improvements.

Utilize simulation insights and test data to diagnose design challenges, recommend improvements, and verify compliance with system requirements. Support regulatory and industry compliance including UL/ETL safety listings, ASHRAE guidelines, and understanding of AHRI performance standards and certification processes

Lead system‑level risk analyses such as FMEA and support required certification documentation, testing coordination, and regulatory submissions.

Work effectively with internal and external test laboratories, cross‑functional engineering partners, suppliers, manufacturing, and service organizations.

Use Lean thinking and continuous improvement fundamentals to strengthen engineering processes, reduce waste, and enhance design efficiency.

Lead system engineering tasks through the full product development process, meeting deadlines, raising roadblocks proactively, and managing multiple assignments as priorities shift.

Document system requirements, design decisions, interface specifications, test plans, and technical findings throughout the product lifecycle.

Mentor junior engineers and technicians, sharing expertise in refrigeration systems, modeling, analysis methods, and systems engineering best practices.

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.

5+ years' experience leading system and subsystem product designs, validation testing, and root cause analysis.

Proven project delivery in conducting new technology and new product development projects to improve the function, reliability, or cost of products and components
