Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a Systems Engineer for a hybrid role onsite 3 days/week (Monday - Wednesday preferred). Flexibility is required; occasional workdays may extend to 8 PM. Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. This role demands deep technical expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server environments, and file share management across both on-premises and cloud infrastructures. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and communicates effectively without the need for micromanagement. Key Responsibilities: Active Directory Management: * Administer and troubleshoot complex AD environments across multiple domains and forests * Address audit findings and protocol issues (LDAP, NTLM, SNMP) * Manage federations, trust relationships, and DNS dependencies (Infoblox experience preferred) File Share Troubleshooting: * Resolve access and permission issues for both on-prem and Azure file shares * Navigate cross-domain permission challenges with precision and efficiency Windows Server Administration: * Maintain and support domain controllers, schema updates, and FISMO roles * Ensure system integrity and performance across enterprise environments Change Management: * Follow established change management protocols * Document and communicate changes clearly before implementation Communication & Responsiveness: * Proactively respond to tickets and emails * Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders and team members Availability & Flexibility: * Willingness to work extended hours when needed * Adaptable start/end times to meet operational demands Onsite Presence: * Expected to be in the office three days a week (Monday-Wednesday preferred)
