The Opportunity
The position located in Columbia, MD in support of the Information Transport System (ITS) portfolio providing the infrastructure, data protocols and applications required to move time-critical data in near real-time.
These activities are provided for the local stakeholders as well as the Intelligence Community (IC), the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal partners
The ITS portfolio encompasses transport streams, messages and files with content size ranging from bytes to Terabytes
You will need to apply in-depth knowledge in trouble shooting IT systems to determine root cause and restoration of DTS components
Responsibilities:
As the SE Task Lead on the FASTCONDUIT responsibilities include:
Successful execution of contract support for the Intelligence Community (IC) Information Transport Service (ITS).
Provide tactical and strategic guidance as well as engineering support for low-latency, high-capacity java messaging systems providing cross-domain solutions
In coordination with the government ITS Program Manager (PM) participate in customer engagement with senior technical and program staffs of IC and DOD
Capture requirements and integration needs for the transition of critical messaging services from legacy systems to the modernized offering provided through ITS
Provide tactical and strategic guidance to the technical team addressing scheduling and deployment activities
Maintain a high quality of service for customers across all messaging domains
Design/updates architectural changes solutions to meet evolving customer requirements
Author and maintain relevant System Engineering documentation and diagrams
Configure and manage Linux and Windows systems to include installing the operating system, troubleshoot, upgrade, maintain integrity/configure network components and improve reliability and performance
Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required
Seven (7) years’ experience using the Linux, Unix, Windows, or Cisco OS operating system
Six (6) years’ experience managing and gathering customer engagement of requirements for an Enterprise service capability
Four (4) years’ experience gathering requirements and interacting with SIGINT partners and communities
Seven (7) years' experience using a requirements tracking tool (such as Redmine, Jira)
Three (3) years' experience with standard Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. CWIP: IAM Level I Certification, IA Baseline Certification.
Desired:
(U) Experience testing a messaging service (such as Java Messaging Service, TIBCO, ActiveMQ, Artemis, Kafka)
(U) Experience using drawing tools to generate system diagrams

The proposed salary range for this position is:
