We CGI is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our Technology organization. This role is ideal for a strategic, digitally savvy problem solver who thrives in fast paced environments and enjoys working at the intersection of business needs, technology modernization, and customer experience.
 
In this role, you will support multiple pods focused on platform health, scalability, and modernization. Your work will directly contribute to product launches, advisor led tools, and integration initiatives that strengthen our insurance technology ecosystem. This is a hands-on, high impact role where you will collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners, and business partners to deliver solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
 
This position is based in Westlake, TX in a Hybrid working model.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Analyze, design, and document end to end system interactions across multiple applications and services
. Develop detailed solution requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and data mapping for moderate to complex systems
. Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability
. Support modernization initiatives, including migration to new platforms, services, and integration patterns
. Work with REST, SOAP, JSON, and API based integrations to support new and existing capabilities
. Use SQL to analyze data, validate logic, and support troubleshooting
. Interpret code and technical architecture to understand system behavior and business logic
. Produce business flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and system interaction documentation
. Partner with product owners, architects, business analysts, and engineering teams to define and refine requirements
. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness
. Coordinate release activities and ensure smooth deployment of new features and enhancements
. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical audiences
. Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend long term fixes
. Write Splunk queries and build dashboards/alerts to monitor system health
. Support continuous improvement of monitoring, alerting, and operational processes
. Apply Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices using Gherkin/Cucumber where applicable

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

.    10+ years of professional experience as a Systems Analyst supporting software applications or platforms
.    Strong background in requirements analysis, system design, and documentation for complex systems
.    Hands on experience with SQL, APIs, REST/SOAP services, and data integration
.    Proven experience working in Agile environments
.    Proficiency with Scrum tools (Jira preferred)
.    Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
.    Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation
.    Experience supporting production systems, including incident analysis and monitoring.

Preferred qualifications: 
.    Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts
.    Experience with platform modernization or cloud native transformation initiatives
.    Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Gherkin/Cucumber)
.    Ability to interpret code (any language) to understand business logic
.    Experience working in insurance or financial services domain
 
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $87,600.00 - $153,300.00.
