Senior Systems Administrator
**Job Description** Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Strong verbal and written communicator is critical skill for success. + Creative, collaborative, team-oriented. + BS in Computer Science or similar technical. + 8 years in the following technologies: + ADFS + Amazon AppStream + AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S + VSphere and VXRail environments + IPA/FreeIPA + Keycloak + LDAP/OpenLDAP + Linux (Rocky, RedHat, Amazon, and Ubuntu and others), Windows, and Mac operating systems + Nutanix hyperconverged virtualization + Proxmox virtualization + SMTP + Samba + SonicWall Firewall + Tunneling protocols (GRE, IPSec, SSH, SSL, others) + Windows Active Directory + WSUS + Windows Deployment Service + 8 years experience with the following hardware: + Arista Network Applicance + Cisco networking appliances + Dell servers and workstations + NetApp + Network Hardware (Cisco, Arista, Dell, others) + Nutanix/SuperMicro servers + QNAP + Synology + 1 years experience with Jira, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk and Elasticsearch + Experience creating tools, platforms, and environments for demos, and product testing + Experience creating products, utilities, scripts, and tools to automate builds, deployment, and testing. + Experience troubleshooting operational tests, software defects, and other issues. + Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to develop business requirements and specifications + Ability to work on problems of limited scope and conduct analysis of system processes + Ability to work independently to complete project activities; possessing initiative to address issues and opportunities + Ability to implement solutions and identify operational or management issues + Creative, collaborative, team-oriented **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, and/or Network Administration from an accredited university/college. Minimum/General Experience: Recent work experience as a senior-level or technical lead in a related position on a major program, project, or activity. A minimum of seven (7) years recent experience in the direct performance of a major program, project, or activity relating to computer software development at the user and kernel level, computer programming, and /or computer digital forensics. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
