The Opportunity:
CACI’s EITaaS Program is a Department of the Air Force (DAF) initiative, which includes the Air Force and Space Force. EITaaS will transform the Dept. of the Air Force IT services from an in-house, base-centric delivery model to an advanced enterprise service delivery model. CACI will provide an enhanced IT management system, IT storefront, enterprise help desk, local field services, and life cycle support for end-user devices.

Responsibilities:
Serve as the Senior Team Lead and (SME) subject matter expert on the VDI team, for the Dept. of the Air Force; this team will be responsible for establishing the processes, technology, and providing user support to allow the EITaaS Team to provide an Enterprise VDI solution technology to support the internal EITaaS team, and as required MAJCOMs of the Dept. of the Air Force. You will work with your manager to understand requirements, priorities, and objectives to ensure work supports the larger capabilities and direction of the overall solution. You will participate in the full life cycle of activities including deployment and validation efforts to ensure product success and will follow all established processes and standards. You will coach and lead the other VDI Engineers on the team.

More About the Role:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) VDI capabilities, providing end users have maximum functionality while maintaining application security.Continuous reviewing of VDI infrastructure to ensure service functionality and availability, and to maintain latest software and security patching.Support continuous monitoring efforts to proactively resolve environmental issues.Develop and maintain documentation for the EITaaS VDI Azure Virtual Desktop environment, such as diagrams, detailed designs, as-build specifications, and SOPs.Support Windows Zero Touch Implementation (ZTI) processes for AVD solutions.Help troubleshoot AVD issues/problems and provide remediation steps for resolution.Design, create, maintain, and troubleshooting complex PowerShell scripts and other deployment capabilities to automate Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) functionality and operations.Develop strategy, plans, and capabilities in support of Windows Zero Touch Implementation (ZTI) for AVD solutions.Self-sufficiently develop, support, and execute processes to create and administrate AVD Host Pools, build, manage, and maintain AVD baseline OS Images; apply application and OS patches to the monthly images and existing persistent VMs.Work with your Manager to help support identification, reporting, tracking and mitigation of risks/issues discovered.Initiates and develops methods to assess the end-to-end systems performance using operational measurements or other available test beds in order that end-to-end performance objectives are met.Implement Azure PowerShell scripts and workbooks to automate Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) functionality.Develop the strategy and plan to implement Windows Zero Touch Implementation (ZTI) for AVD solutions.Independently troubleshoot complex AVD issues/problems, including AVD VMs and OS as well as supporting Azure AVD infrastructure and provide/execute remediation steps for resolution.Manage and monitor autoscaling of AVD resources to ensure sufficient virtual resources are available for DAF users (shutting down over provisioned resources and startup up new resources when insufficient resources are available).Establish and track usage trend data for AVD consumption and tailor scripts and automation around peaks and dips in service usageProvide guidance, technical mentoring, and knowledge transfer to your other Teammates.This is a Senior Position within the Program and requires multiple years of relevant experience. It is expected that you: work with minimal supervision, are a self-starter and capable of defining and managing your individual tasks and have strong communication skills for partnering and communicating across internal teams to maximize efficiency and success of assigned tasks.Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance15+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).Current certification for Security+ or any of CISSP, CCNA, or CCNPExperience building Windows client systems.Experience with Azure resources and deployments.Experience with securing systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and negotiating/working-with compliance personnel to arrive at sensible and effective solutions.Experience with managing Active Directory domain user and computer objects.5+ years’ hands-on experience designing and creating PowerShell scripts.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detailAbility to create and execute documented detailed technical processes.Strong Windows Operating System problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.Experience with Windows virtualization capabilities: Azure Virtual Desktop or VMware Horizon VDI preferred; Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware EXSI, or Microsoft RDS acceptable.Experience integrating, securing, and understanding the following Microsoft platform services: Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), DNS & DHCP, Remote Desktop Services.Experience with:Endpoint policy controls via AD Group Policy Object and IntuneEntra ID Tenant and Microsoft365Terraform or other deployment automation capabilitiesWindows Smartcard authentication in AD domain environmentDesired:

The proposed salary range for this position is:
