Senior System Engineer Requisition ID: 44713 Job Location(s): Seoul, KR Employment Type: Full Time Segment: Danfoss Power Solutions Segment Job Function: Sales Work Location Type: On-site **Job Description** As a Senior System Engineer within the EDITRON business, you will be the primary TECHNICAL ADVISER and support of customers on a wide range of electric and hybrid drivetrain and power generation systems. Additionally, System Engineers will manage the Commercial Development and Sales of the assigned customer accounts in conjunction with the Team Lead and the BU Sales Director. You will work closely with customers (both direct and distribution), consulting engineers, Danfoss Regional Account Management team in support of the Business Unit’s revenue growth plan. As a key part of our business unit sales team your responsibility will be to provide technical support to our customers throughout the APAC region (exclude China, Japan and India). **Job Responsibilities** Key responsibilities in this position + Selection, application, and system configuration of electric and hybrid electric drivetrain systems for various off-highway and serial production marine applications. + Selection, application, and system configuration of hydraulic and power generation systems to be used and/or integrated with electric and hybrid electric drivetrain systems. + Co-Ordinate and lead product training for internal and external stakeholders including new Application Engineers and distributors. + Develop and present technical proposals including system and application design considerations to distributors, consultants and OEM customers. + Responsible for development of component and system dimensioning tools to distribution partners. + Work closely with product management and engineering for the maintenance and enhancements of component and system dimensioning tools. + Work with business technical and commercial teams in support of execution of improvements and enhancements to system dimensioning tools and new product development features + Organize, coordinate, and conduct electrification training for authorized distributors, select OEMs, consultants and internal sales and engineering teams and individuals + Provide technical support across all products within the portfolio and ensure content and preparation of relevant technical documentation in support of sales activities. + Work with the BU sales development managers and Danfoss field sales teams to review and approve new applications with customers throughout the system design process. + Join sales and account managers on customer visits and serve as the electrification technical sales asset for the team. Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, distributors and consultants as required to support long term growth of the business unit. + Identify, specify, and initiate product and system changes and adjustments based on customer requirements. Represent Editron at trade shows and exhibition Additional Responsibilities: + Assist testing and tuning of the electric / hybrid machines as required by customers. + Assist in new product development by providing market feedback and be an internal voice-of-customer for the product management and product application engineering teams. + Support Account management teams in developing winning proposals by deploying Danfoss’ Value Selling principles. + Support the development of demo vehicles at Danfoss Application Development Centers (ADC). **Background & Skills** Required skills: + Strong experience with component selection and system application of power electronics, electric machines, energy storage, and power generation technologies + Strong comprehension of electrical and mechanical drawings. + Knowledge of CAN bus and/or other controls protocols. + Knowledge of AC and DC power systems a plus. + Testing, validation and on-site troubleshooting for the Off-highway machines across India/ South Korea. Possess fundamental knowledge of data acquisition and data post processing. + Ability to work in Danfoss Plus+1 Programming Environment, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite. + Excellent presentation skills - Ability to speak in front of a large audience and ability to communication technical concept and details to both technical and non-technical audiences. + Understanding of Off-Highway B2B market in both direct and distribution channel. + Experience with providing technical training to external and internal audience. + Ability to work in a matrix organization with cross functional and global teams. + Strong project Management skills with ability to meet demanding sales deadlines while providing high-quality support. + Strong coaching skills and willingness to train customers, distributors, and internal people on Danfoss Electrification Product and systems. + Willingness to learn. + Passion for electrification Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Automation and Electrical Engineering Technology (BAEET), or an equivalent technical qualification with relevant experience. + 2+ years of experience in the application and development of power systems using electric machines, generators, power electronics, etc. + 3+ years in a customer facing technical support role. + Working knowledge of system and electrical engineering principles and processes. **Employee Benefits** We are excited to offer you the following benefits with your employment: + Bonus system + Paid vacation + Flexible working hours + Possibility to work remotely + Pension plan + Personal insurance + Communication package + Opportunity to join Employee Resource Groups + State of the art virtual work environment + Employee Referral Program This list does not promise or guarantee any particular benefit or specific action.
