About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Consultant to lead the growth, delivery, and technical excellence of sustainability services across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Based in Riyadh, this role carries full responsibility for developing new business, managing key client relationships, and overseeing the execution of complex sustainability and ESG projects.

As a senior member of the team, you will act as the primary interface between local markets and regional sustainability leadership, ensuring alignment with Bureau Veritas’ broader Middle East, Caspian & Africa (MCA) sustainability strategy. The role also includes mentoring junior consultants and contributing to capability building within the team.

  Key Responsibilities   Business Development & Sales Leadership Identify and secure new sustainability consulting opportunities across KSA and Bahrain. Lead client meetings, commercial negotiations, and contract finalization. Drive revenue growth and support country-level sustainability targets. Collaborate with Sales & Marketing leadership to develop go‑to‑market strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, government bodies, and strategic partners.   Proposal & Tender Leadership Lead end‑to‑end preparation of proposals and tenders. Define technical scope, methodologies, pricing models, risk assessments, and resource plans. Monitor and respond to sustainability‑related tenders in coordination with sales teams.   Technical Leadership & Project Management

Lead the delivery of sustainability projects, including:

Carbon footprinting and verification ESG reporting and performance management Sustainability and decarbonization strategies Green building certifications and sustainability trainings

Additional responsibilities:

Act as a technical authority ensuring compliance with international standards and BV methodologies. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, deadlines, and profitability.   People & Team Development Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Sustainability Consultants. Review project deliverables and ensure consistent quality. Contribute to internal knowledge development and capability building.   Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary interface for key sustainability engagements. Lead workshops, stakeholder sessions, and executive presentations. Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and develop long‑term client accounts.   Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields. 5–8+ years of experience in sustainability consulting, ESG advisory, or related domains. Proven track record in business development, proposal leadership, and client management. Strong technical expertise in: GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 / ISO 14067 ESG frameworks: GRI, TCFD, ISSB, SBTi Carbon management & sustainability strategy development Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Fluency in English; Arabic is highly preferred.
