A sr supply planner delivers business value by developing tactical and strategic store inventory plans and establishing inventory levels for assigned products to achieve customer service, supply chain and financial objectives.
As a sr supply planner, you will…
Set inventory strategy to optimize for cost and service Serve as system subject matter expert that trains and gives peer guidance to other planners Anticipate issues proactively and works with suppliers on mitigation plans to resolve Independently utilize the system, exception reports, and communicate with suppliers to identify risk and put a plan in place in partnership with other teams to resolve As a Supply Planning expert, independently understand what needs to be accomplished, and can effectively work with others to create processes that enhance or streamline workflow across the direct team's area Represent Supply Planning function to make recommendations to optimize the supply chain and clearly communicate trade-offs, including impact to several tiers of suppliers Anticipate and put preventative measures in place Expands learning across categories and functions while sharing out knowledge and mentoring others Coordinate with others in response to multiple, competing demands to ensure work is completed in a timely manner Develop and adapt unique inventory management policies based on strategic value and product lifecycle Anticipate conflicts, communicate effectively, and lead resolution and decision making when tradeoffs exist Leverage relationships to influence within internal & external teams Understand necessary audience, including leaders, and tailor communication to promote collaborative responses Gather inputs from cross functional teams to craft collaborative messaging that accurately conveys complex situations Role model a positive and productive work environment, and coach peers to do the sameWe’d love to hear from people with:
4-year college degree in Supply Chain or related Business field Effective use of planning systems; experience managing supply plans; supply chain planner experience; effective presentation skills; progressive supply chain experience; ability to influence others Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; ability to balance multiple priorities to meet deadlines; ability to work both independently and as part of a team; proficiency in ERP systems and other computer applications including advanced MS Excel skills; strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills; effective presentation skills; knowledge of supply chain or inventory management processes 3+ years of experience in supply chain

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
