Senior Supply Planner

What you will do-

You will create an overall supply plan for the specific plants and 3rd party suppliers within the specific franchise scope. You will interface with site production leads, production scheduling, procurement, finance, IBP, management, and customer service to ensure an integrated approach in supply planning within the franchise.

You will be an integral part of the core team which includes production, quality and engineering as you will create the build requirements as well as ensure sufficient capacity is available for long term strategic growth initiatives. You will also work hand in hand with our divisional parts to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.

Responsible for the creation of a supply plan based on the latest demand signal to cover what needs to be produced or purchased as a finished product and to ensure that within the process there is sufficient raw materials and components to support the required supply plan up to a 24-month time horizon

Responsible for the creation of capacity plans based on the latest demand signal, to identify where there is any potential bottlenecks or risks to supply and to develop and recommend appropriate proposals to mitigate and to ensure that the plant can meet the future demand

Capable of developing a supply plan across a complex portfolio and multiple sites if required as franchise maturity develops

Capability building as part of cross functional teams and add expertise in creating the optimal solutions

Responsible for the setting of the correct levels of raw material inventory within the supply plan by understanding the demand volatility and supply chain lead times. Specifically, the creation of a safety stock strategy and plan that enables continuity of product availability at the optimal level of cash investment

Ensure that the supply plan is financially evaluated with regard to balancing the requirement of consistent product availability versus the cost of supply and the investment needed in conjunction with financial partners to ensure meeting the operational budgets and targets

Tracking of the execution of the supply plan with production scheduling and buying ensuring that the plan is fully operationalized and tracked for performance deviation including mitigation on back orders and pro-active communication of future supply risks

Effective communication and confirmation back from supply planning to the demand plan in confirming capability to meet the requirements via the daily and weekly execution process but also via a robust monthly executive supply process

All Supply Planning system core master-data is maintained to enable focus on real supply issues

KPIs for the role will be Supply Plan Attainment, Supply Plan Mix Attainment, Safety Stock Health, Capacity Utilization, and Backorder

Responsible for root causing performance issues and acting on own capability to mitigate and correct supply issues
 

What you need-

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain Management or related - required

4+ years of planning and/or manufacturing/production planning or relevant experience - required ​

APICS certification - preferred

Strong ERP systems and computer software experience (SAP, QAD, JDE)

Project Management and Lean Six Sigma experience - preferred

Understanding of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrate Business Planning (IBP)

Expert in MS Excel

Travel Percentage: 10%
