The role will be responsible for the overall supply chain for the SEC engine systems and custom project product lines. Responsible for supplier management for all outside fabricators and suppliers for SEC Americas business and ensures these critical partners can produce product at best cost and timing. The Senior Supply Chain Specialist ensures the performance of a supply chain from order to shipment and customer service for all externally produced product. The role supports the department’s initiatives to operate in an efficient and profitable manner to provide customer satisfaction and uphold customer expectations. Interface with various internal departments (primarily commercial and engineering) as required and interface with customers and suppliers as needed to meet business objectives.
Your responsibilities:
Outside fabrication and supplier managementDrive the business forward by achieving significant cost reductionsWork directly with stakeholders (internal and external) to develop optimization strategies and improve execution plansManage RFI, RFP, RFQ from end-to-end in assigned areasLeverage technology, analytics, and tools to collect and analyze supplier spend data to drive savingsLead supplier selection and management. Manage relationships with suppliers to drive material requirements though the supply chain, to meet OTIF delivery and lead time targets.Negotiate contract terms and conditions that are more favourable for the businessTrack market dynamics of assigned areasDefine cost benchmarks for areas under managementAnalyze supplier performance data and provide feedback to suppliers and leadershipCustom project and engine system supply chain managementProcures materials needed for project orders and inventory of the final product. This includes identifying and ordering the proper quantity, negotiating pricing and shipment terms, and overseeing the timely delivery of materials needed to fulfil customer orders. Work with suppliers related to timing to coordinate the needs of JM and the customer.Maintain and monitor inventory levels and to provide mitigation plans when necessary. Collaborate with department manager and S&OP Manager on inventory management and planning related to project business/orders.Assess current orders and forecast future demand to provide adequate supplies. When something significant changes in the supply chain and demand, the Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for responding to these changes in demand and solving any supply chain problems that arise.Ensure bill of materials for project orders are accurate before entry by customer service into the ERP systemCollaborate with commercial, engineering, product management, finance & rest of supply chain teams with regards to project BOM, supplier selection, and cost analysisMitigate supply chain risk through internal/external collaborationSupply Chain ExcellenceIdentifies and evaluates bottlenecks and opportunities in supply chain related (work) processes, procedures and/or systems. Makes suggestions for improvements and ensures implementation.Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performancePerforms other duties/projects as requiredComply with environmental & health and safety federal, state, local regulations and company policiesRequirements for the role:
B.S Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics – Desired3-5 years of supply chain experienceSAP knowledge3-5 years of experience work with metal fabricators – DesiredAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong negotiation and influencing skillsStrong analytical and decision-making skillsHow you will be rewarded:
