The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supply Chain Manager (Level M) to join our Global Supply Chain & Integration team’s Boeing Exploration Systems division in New Orleans, Louisiana.
This position will have oversight over the Exploration Upper Stage effort within the Space Launch Systems program. This is a dynamic role that will work closely with program personnel working to accelerate and expedite schedule and performance collaboratively across the program.
Position Responsibilities:
Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreementsManages employees and mid level managers from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processesDevelops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectivesAcquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesProvides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes and related tools.Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managersThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 5 years of experience in managing supplier performanceMore than 5 years of experience working in supplier managementMore than 3 years in a leadership or management rolePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higherMore than 5 years of experience with procurement on government (DoD/NASA) contractsMore than 5 years developing and presenting reports to senior leadershipTypical Education/Experience:
Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
