At Amazon Air (AIR), process-driven techniques help us deliver smiles to both our internal and external customers daily. AIR embraces multiple problem-solving approaches with consideration and respect for each other. AIR seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager (Sr. SCM) to lead strategic initiatives at the intersection between labor planning and supply chain planning. This leader will drive new ideas, establish metrics, solve problems based on data, and implement solutions. They will conduct analyses to identify and recommend improvement opportunities for both new and existing processes, standardize methodologies across businesses, and lead alignment across organizations by leveraging business expertise and data.
The ideal candidate must deliver results and scale operations despite resource constraints by inventing and simplifying. Collaboration with tech teams, operations, process engineering, and other business partners is essential. The Sr. SCM must anticipate future challenges, innovate, take calculated risks, and optimize on a network-wide basis.
Key job responsibilities

- Partner with internal business teams including operations, ground transportation, finance, research, technology, and engineering to deliver improved results
- Work closely with research science teams to develop tools for scaling/automation of network configuration
- Manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process
- Work within time constraints to meet business critical needs (often managing multiple, time-sensitive and high priority initiatives simultaneously), while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required, using SQL as needed
- Travel domestically up to 15% of the time to various facilities in the Amazon network
