This strategic role will focus on reducing costs across approximately 50% ($1.35B) of Amazon's Domestic First Mile (DFM) transportation spend through innovative supply chain solutions.

As a single-threaded leader, you will:
- Transform our historically under-optimized nonsort network through mode optimization and carrier strategy
- Drive conversion of eligible Small Parcel shipments to Less Than Truckload
- Partner with SCOT and FC teams on placement optimization
- Develop metrics and methods for procurement to secure optimal rates
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve network efficiency

Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end nonsort network optimization strategy and execution
- Develop and implement new operational processes for mode conversion
- Drive data-driven decisions through deep dive analysis and business cases
- Partner with procurement on carrier strategy and rate optimization
- Create and track KPIs for measuring success of optimization initiatives
- Lead weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews and financial planning
- Manage stakeholder relationships across Transportation, SCOT, and FC teams
- Document and scale successful optimization patterns

A day in the life
You'll start your day analyzing network performance metrics and identifying opportunities for mode optimization. Throughout the day, you'll partner with FC teams to understand operational constraints, work with procurement on rate negotiations, and develop technical solutions with our engineering teams. You'll spend time deep diving into data to validate conversion opportunities, building business cases, and documenting findings in detailed six-pager documents for leadership review.
