Otis Vietnam is recruiting for a Senior Supply Chain Executive to be based in Ho Chi Minh City. The main goal of the role is to manage the full scope of supply chain operations for the elevator business in Vietnam, covering sourcing, procurement, subcontractor management, logistics, import coordination, supplier performance, cost optimization, and project delivery support.

This role plays a critical function in ensuring on-time material availability, subcontractor readiness, compliance with company policies, and operational continuity to support installation, modernization, and maintenance operations across Vietnam.

The position requires strong cross-functional coordination with Operations Field Installation, Sales, Finance, Quality, EHS, and Regional Supply Chain teams.
 

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing:

Manage end-to-end procurement activities for elevator equipment, components, spare parts, and indirect materials/services.

Source and onboard qualified suppliers and subcontractors aligned with company standards.

Conduct commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, lead time, warranty, and contractual terms.

Drive cost-saving initiatives.

Ensure purchase orders are processed accurately and timely.

Subcontractor Management:

Manage subcontractor sourcing and qualification for installation and field operations.

Monitor subcontractor capacity, manpower readiness, performance.

Coordinate subcontractor contracts, rate reviews, and performance evaluations.

Support risk mitigation plans for subcontractor shortages or underperformance.

Logistics & Import Operations:

Coordinate inbound logistics activities for imported elevator materials and equipment.

Manage customs clearance, shipping documentation, freight coordination, and delivery schedules.

Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and suppliers to minimize delays.

Monitor import compliance and ensure adherence to Vietnamese regulations.

Supplier Performance & Governance:

Track supplier KPIs including quality, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance.

Lead supplier performance reviews and corrective action follow-up.

Ensure suppliers comply with company policies, EHS standards, and ethical requirements.

Project & Cross-Functional Coordination:

Work closely with Operations and Installation teams to support project execution timelines.

Coordinate with Finance on invoice discrepancies, payment issues.

Support Sales and Tender teams on sourcing strategy, budgetary quotations, and cost validation.

Collaborate with Regional Supply Chain teams on strategic initiatives and reporting.

Compliance & Process Improvement:

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, delegation of authority, and internal controls.

Support implementation of supply chain process improvements and digital initiatives.

Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness.

Identify operational risks and propose mitigation actions proactively.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration,  or related field.

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics.

Experience in elevator, construction, engineering, industrial equipment, or MNC environment is highly preferred.

Strong experience managing subcontractors and import operations in Vietnam.

Technical Skills:

Strong procurement and negotiation capability.

Knowledge of international shipping and customs processes.

Experience in ERP systems.

Good analytical and reporting skills.

Strong understanding of supplier management and operational risk.

Soft Skills:

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Problem-solving and decision-making capability.

High ownership and accountability.

Strong commercial mindset with operational discipline.
