This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (3 or more days on-site per week) based out of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Structural Dynamics Engineer at Trane, you will be responsible for designing the equipment and systems that support these goals. You will lead engineering teams, develop concepts for new & improved commercial HVAC products and solve complex technical problems, leading to production of sustainable new products. Join a team that applies experimental and computational methods to develop best-in-class Trane Commercial HVAC products and enabling technologies while addressing acoustic, structural & vibration challenges. The primary focus areas of this Structural Dynamics Engineer role include structural integrity, structural dynamics, vibration simulation and testing. Work closely with various product and technology development teams and with global Engineering support center personnel.

Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering or Physics and at least 5 years of acoustics or NVH work experience is required.Master’s Degree or Ph.D. is preferred.Key Skills or Competencies:
Formal coursework in mechanics of materials, vibration, structural dynamics, numerical simulation methods, digital signal processing is expected.Experience with ANSYS, Siemens SimCenter or Siemens Test.Lab is a plus.Experience in structural engineering design, technical problem-solving with simulation and tests.Knowledge in the design, testing, and optimization for dynamics of machinery.Knowledge and experience in correlating simulation models and test data are a plus.Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communication and project management skills required.Must be able to work on multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.Experience in data acquisition systems, both hardware and software, as well as mechanical strain measurement, are preferred.Experience with HVAC products, compressors, fans and sheet metal structures is a plus.
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range is $73,900 - $152,400.
