Senior Structural Analyst

Summary: Senior-level role performing stress and loads analysis for primary/secondary aircraft structures and interiors using classical methods and finite element techniques.

Requirements

Minimum B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

18+ years of aircraft structural analysis experience.

Classical stress analysis proficiency.

Finite Element Analysis using MSC Nastran and Patran.

Analysis of aircraft structural repairs.

Preparation of stress reports for aircraft certification.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Creating and post-processing composite structural FEMs in Siemens Femap.

Composite structural analysis expertise.

Preferred Skills

Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.

Knowledge of commercial and military aircraft certification requirements.

Experience with modification of transport category and general aviation aircraft.

Responsibilities

Perform stress and loads analysis of primary/secondary structure, equipment racks, and interior items using classical and FEA methods.

Provide design support and detail stress analysis for new and modified structures.

Deliver stress support to Liaison Engineering for structural modifications and repairs.

Prepare complete stress analysis reports for certification submittals.

Build, run, and interpret finite element models; generate results and recommendations.

Support resolution of nonconformances with structural assessments and allowable calculations.



Pay Details: $80.00 to $120.00 per hour
