Senior Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Manager

BGIS is currently seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Manager to join the team in Remote, US.

The Senior Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Manager is accountable for the development and delivery of strategic sourcing plans for assigned business unit. The position responsibilities include category planning and delivery and strategy development, leading opportunities assessments, competitive bids, supplier performance measurement and management, supplier quality assurance and KPI management, supplier contract development and maintenance.  The role also identifies and implements leverage opportunities across all accounts and achieves great efficiencies and cost savings. This person interacts with others internally and externally including our client to positively exemplifying BGIS values and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sourcing, Category Management Planning & Delivery

Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements. Develop, recommend, and implement category plans.  Maintain in-depth and current category knowledge and strategic sourcing best practices and industry trends.  Provide category and strategic sourcing subject matter expertise.  Develop and implement sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to clients and BGIS. Lead the review and measurement of the effectiveness of the strategy.  Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

Opportunities Assessment, Implementation and Competitive Bids

Lead and perform opportunities assessment activities and drives leverage across all client accounts.  Achieve improvements in operational efficiencies and cost savings as a result.  Manage end-to-end competitive bid process for assigned categories.  Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimum cost and maximum value.  Review and approve vendor set up and vendor information changes. Develop and maintain standard templates for strategic sourcing documentations including but not limited to contract agreements, scopes of work, service level agreements, and letters of agreements. 

Supplier Management & Performance Review

Lead the identification and implementation of performance metrics to measure supplier performance.  Monitor supplier performance measurement and management.  Report on supplier sustainability and supplier performance for assigned categories.  Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.  Manage the negotiation, development, implementation, amendments, and monitoring of supplier contractual agreements.  Drive timeliness of work order closure ensuring client expectations are met and work is performed in a safe and sustainable manner.  Facilitate vendor training to ensure outlined processes are followed. Analyze and monitor results, providing subject matter expertise on recommended improvements to streamline and further create value and efficiency. Negotiate appropriate solutions as required for sustainable quality services. Complete cost-benefit analysis and communicate findings to internal executive business leaders.  Lead activity to realize client goals identified in service level agreement and feedback gained through client meetings or other senior level discussions. 

Continuous Improvement Leadership

Lead identification and implementation of performance metrics to measure supplier performance.  Manage and correct deficiencies in vendor/supplier performance.  Handles dispute resolution process and escalated issues.  Promote innovation with operations, sourcing, finance and other teams reporting results of focused activities.  Provide subject matter expertise and training for specific software, tracking and computer programs.  Partner with Facility Management Office to deploy new programs with vendors.  Maintain and grow relationships with external partners for continue service delivery and client satisfaction. 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Construction Management, Engineering or other relevant field of study or equivalent work experience. Five years of experience in procurement or supply chain management or related field.  Experience with Data Center services procurement and real estate facilities services preferred  Advanced ability to build and manage relationships with various stakeholders.  Highly advanced influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.  High degree of client service orientation, business ethics, and accountability.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Working knowledge of typical mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems associated to critical environments preferred.  Ability to quickly learn proprietary databases.  Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.  Working knowledge of SharePoint.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation 

Supply Chain Management Professional Designation preferred

Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%. Current valid driver’s license and ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office with reimbursement.

BGIS is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. BGIS has different pay ranges for different work locations within the United States which allows us to pay team members competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.  

The salary range for this exempt position in the US is $140,000-$150,000

A candidate’s salary offer is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
