We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment team at Mercer. This role will be based in Montreal. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Senior Strategic Asset Allocation and Investment Consultant, you will deliver a full range of services to institutional clients. You will be part of a team that accomplishes outstanding and innovative work, enhancing financial security and employment relationships for the global workforce.
We will count on you to:
Deliver consulting advice and services on very large complex and strategic investment and asset liability modelling projectsAct as the primary consultant and provide investment consulting advice to a wide range of clientsLiaise with other lines of business and/or other geographies to coordinate service deliveryGenerate innovation by leveraging global Mercer relationships and global trends and innovations in economic landscape and asset liability modellingAct as a mentor and coach, motivating staff to deliver a high standard of work within given timeframes and budgets thereby creating an environment that encourages both individual and team accomplishmentsConceptualizes the direction of the work; assigns work accordingly to team membersFocuses on reviewing and ensuring efficient implementation of standard solutionsRoutinely use Mercer intellectual capital and participate in development of intellectual capitalWhat you need to have:
A bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences, Math, Statistics, or a related field with strong quantitative and analytical coursework.A minimum of 10 years of experience with Defined Benefit plans as a consultant or relationship manager.Superior communication skills in both English and French, along with strong project management abilities.In-depth industry knowledge (economic assumptions, asset liability studies, de-risking approaches, investment performance monitoring, etc.)In accordance with Bill 96, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in both English and French, as this role requires effective communication with our bilingual clientele.What makes you stand out:
