Responsible for cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of instruments and equipment. Prepares Operating Room case carts. Serves as department expert for designated service line. Functions as preceptor and resource to new SPD staff. Works with OR Team Leaders and House Department management to make changes to instrument sets. Provides annual inservice to SPD staff on a service line related topic. Assists Instrument Inventory Coordinator with service line instrumentation. Fills in as Shift Lead SPD Technician as needed.

Required Qualifications:
National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire. Or
National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire.
National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
2 years of experience in sterile processing.
