Sr Staff Architect — Collaboration Platforms (Digital Workplace)

Role Summary
The Sr Staff Architect for Collaboration Platforms plays a pivotal leadership role within Digital Workplace, responsible for defining, governing, and advancing the architectural vision that powers the company’s collaboration ecosystem. This role drives innovation, ensures platform alignment with enterprise standards, and leads the development of scalable, integrated, and high‑performing collaboration solutions used across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and coach architects and engineering teams, promoting technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and professional growth within the Collaboration & Digital Workplace community.Architect and oversee scalable collaboration‑platform solutions, ensuring frameworks, interfaces, and services meet complex enterprise needs.Ensure solution and platform consistency with enterprise architecture standards through structured reviews, audits, and compliance enforcement.Partner with cross‑functional engineering and product teams to align platform implementations with technical blueprints and Digital Workplace strategy.Drive technology direction by developing and championing architecture strategies that enhance business productivity, collaboration, and innovation.Engage senior leaders and engineering partners to ensure seamless integration, stability, and optimal performance across collaboration platforms.Deliver and govern enterprise‑grade APIs, integration patterns, and platform services that support cross‑system collaboration and automation.Provide architectural guidance on industry standards and best practices.Identify and resolve complex platform issues, producing strategic recommendations that elevate system reliability and performance.Develop proofs of concept to evaluate emerging collaboration and productivity technologies.Collaborate with Digital Workplace product and business teams to ensure technology investments align with organizational objectives and user experience goals.Education & Knowledge Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Broad architectural knowledge across business, data, application, technical, and integration domains.Expertise in designing large‑scale, loosely coupled, cross‑platform integration models.Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated deployment, and DevOps.Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies and platform engineering practices.Experience Requirements
Experience in data architecture, modeling, and database development within complex enterprise environments.Experience working with core components of the platform technology ecosystem.Proven ability to architect global, highly scalable, fault‑tolerant enterprise solutions.Background in SOA, integration patterns, and performance optimization.Proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks, and enterprise tooling.Experience delivering enterprise‑grade technology products in an Agile environment.Experience developing reusable frameworks or shared component libraries.Experience delivering platform services and APIs through ESB‑based or modern integration models.History of introducing impactful new technologies through research and POC development.Deep experience across primary and secondary platform technologies.Experience guiding teams through platform or system outages with architectural leadership.Proven ability to provide specialized technical mentorship.Salary Range: $144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
