\n\t\t\t\t\tThe Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance department in producing accurate, timely, and compliant financial records for the organization. This role reports directly to the Controller and CFO and plays a critical part in maintaining strong accounting processes and internal controls.\nThis position is ideal for someone who not only has a solid accounting foundation, but also aspires to grow into a leadership role. The company is intentionally seeking individuals with the potential to develop into future leaders as the organization continues to grow and evolve.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nOther duties may be assigned.\n\nAssist in ensuring a timely, complete, and accurate month-end close process in accordance with U.S. GAAP\nPrepare, review, and properly document general journal entries\nReview journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements as part of month-end close\nMaintain detailed reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts\nPrepare accounting-related entries for various registers, journals, and logs\nAnalyze, verify, import, and export large volumes of data using Excel; continuously learn new functions to improve efficiency\nProvide detailed financial analysis and respond to accounting inquiries by researching and interpreting transactional data\nAssist with preparation of documentation for external auditors\nSupport the Controller in preparing financial statements and internal reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with departmental standards\nMaintain and balance the automated consolidation system by inputting data, scheduling required jobs, and verifying results\nAnalyze existing accounting procedures and recommend improvements or enhancements\nLearn and consistently follow established company accounting policies and procedures\nProtect company value by maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information\nParticipate in special projects and other financial initiatives as assigned by the Controller or CFO\n\nLeadership & Growth Expectations\n\nDemonstrate initiative, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset\nShow the ability and desire to grow into increased responsibility over time\nContribute ideas and recommendations to strengthen accounting processes and controls\nServe as a potential future leader within the accounting and finance team as the company continues to expand
