Senior SQL Database Administrator
**Our client, a leading privately held consortium in the automotive, hospitality, entertainment industries, is seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to join their team.** As a Senior SQL Database Administrator, you will be part of the **IT Department** supporting **database and application development teams** . The ideal candidate will have **strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset** , which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Senior SQL Database Administrator **Location:** Houston, TX 77077 **Pay Range:** Based on experience **Contract Duration:** 1 year **What’s the Job?** 1. Perform SQL Server patching and upgrades during maintenance windows. 2. Handle server maintenance and system administration tasks. 3. Manage SQL Server installations, configurations, and security. 4. Monitor database performance and optimize queries and indexes. **What’s Needed?** 1. 5–8 years of hands-on SQL Server administration experience. 2. Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server; PostgreSQL experience preferred. 3. Strong knowledge of SQL Always On availability groups and SQL Server clustering. 4. Experience with database patching, upgrades, backup, and recovery procedures. 5. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with US-based teams. **What’s in it for me?** 1.
