Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Specialist Manufacturing Engineering – Hydraulic and Industrial Hoses to strengthen our Manufacturing Engineering team in Hannover, Germany. In this role, you will apply your deep expertise in hose manufacturing to support product and process industrialization, drive manufacturing excellence, and ensure stable, high‑quality serial production. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will support the implementation, commissioning, and ramp‑up of manufacturing processes, contributing to robust solutions that meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and industrialize manufacturing processes and equipment for hydraulic and industrial hoses, with a strong focus on stable, scalable, and cost‑effective serial productionDrive process and equipment development across core hose manufacturing technologies, including mandrel preparation, extrusion, braiding, cover application, assembly, curing, blow‑out, pressure testing, and crimpingLead or support product and process industrialization from design release through implementation, commissioning, production ramp‑up, and handover to operationsTranslate product, process, quality, and application requirements into robust manufacturing, tooling, and line concepts, ensuring process capability, repeatability, and long‑term production stabilityDefine and review process and equipment specifications and actively support supplier coordination, FAT, SAT, commissioning, start‑up, and stabilization of serial productionAct as a technical expert for hose manufacturing, providing hands‑on support during implementation, troubleshooting, and ramp‑up, and ensuring controlled introduction of new products and engineering changesSupport and guide engineering changes and product modifications, ensuring robust industrialization with minimal disruption to ongoing productionImprove manufacturing performance through structured technical initiatives focused on process capability, quality consistency, yield, cycle time, and operational stabilitySupport global product launches, technology transfer, standardization, and continuous improvement, contributing to harmonized manufacturing and industrialization practices across production sites

QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a comparable disciplineLong-term years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and/or product and process industrialization, preferably in hydraulic and industrial hose manufacturingProven, in‑depth expertise in hose products and manufacturing processes, including implementation, commissioning, and serial production ramp‑upStrong understanding of industrial machinery, tooling, and production equipment used in hose manufacturing, including critical process parameters and machine setupExperience in defining, reviewing, and implementing process and equipment specifications, and supporting FAT, SAT, commissioning, and production start‑up activitiesAbility to work closely with plants, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams during implementation, commissioning, and stabilization phasesStrong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills in complex manufacturing and industrialization environmentsHigh level of ownership and technical leadership; ability to operate independently at senior levelfluent in English (written and spoken)willingness to travel to production facilities worldwide- (40-50%)
