The Senior Executive of Logistics & Compliance will oversee the entire lifecycle of import and export shipments, from pickup to warehouse receipt. This includes managing a network of 3PL logistics partners, customs clearance agents, compliance consultants, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution, service excellence, and cost optimization.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Supplier & Order processing Management
Liaison with Central & Regional- Logistics & Order Management teams to ensure and adhere logistics process, shipments consolidation, shipping documents accuracy, Supplier regulatory compliance for BIS , MD licenses, Labelling etc.Co-ordination with India Planning team for shipment processing basis orders request with 100% compliance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal & Compliance, Planning, Regulatory & Quality etc), work closely and collaborate with the Tax Trade compliance ,Sourcing & Supply Chain to ensure operations work hand in hand and to align distribution strategy as per the business priorities.Having working experience of commercial transactions, business environment and internal external customer collaboration.International Freight & Logistics
Manage freight and transportation to optimize transport mode, cost, and sustainability. Establish KPIs and dashboards to track logistics cost performance, service levels, and process compliance.Knowledge of International Logistics different mode and category of exports imports, Incoterms, Letter of credit transactionsFollow up and monitor efficient and effective operation on the international/local land transport related services and the safe delivery of products.International logistics knowledge and experience of strategies efficient low-cost logistics . LCL, FCL, ODC, break bulk cargo movement and required skill of weight and volume calculation for optimum use of space both in sea and air shipments.Experience with different US, EU , Asia and India Ports of operation handling. Understanding of Airlines movement routes, Shipping routes and associated risk with mitigation plan to ensure business continuity and on-time deliveries.Identify cost-saving opportunities to achieve efficiency without compromising service levels.Regulatory Liaison, Customs & Trade Compliance
Thorough knowledge and Practical experience of Import Export Policy Procedures, compliance, rules, and regulations.Understanding and experience with Medical Device Rules, BIS, EPR, LMPC etc and adherence to compliances diligently.Custom clearance: Supervise and coordinate operational activities (in-house/outsourced) for customers and internal requirements, including demo, trial, customer demo, with the main focus on maintaining a compliant & robust execution i.e. relevant product classification, changes in duty structure, regulatory changes that may impact importation.Liasioning with government officials such as Customs, DGFT, Ministries and other agencies like CHA, Freight forwarders etc.ATA carnet Management: Ensure the carnet shipments for customer demo/trial/etc. Permission is obtained, H/W imported, returned to the origin, and details archivedDispute resolution: Proficient in addressing routine customs queries, attending need-based personal hearings, and building/expanding working relationships with frontline customs officials and other regulatory authorities as per the business requirements Ensure alignment and application of required licenses/approvals from relevant authorities, follow up for timely issuance, and optimize utilization of import licenses/authorizations. Proactively track, publish status reports, and escalate anticipated delays.Proven expertise in the area of Customs, Import/Export, Logistics, Shipping, Transportation & Warehouse Management & Customer relationship management Well-versed with the concepts of customs clearance, international Trade Operations, Multi-Model Transportation, Regulation & Procedures, Transportation & Distribution, Export Control, pre- & post-shipment documentation, Foreign Trade Policies, customs Laws, Incoterms, FTA, SEZ ,FTWZ, and Letter of Credit, etcExperience on handling Private/Public Bonded warehouse compliance and work practices on dual BOEExperience on ADC- Clearance, Medical product clearanceKnowledge of EPCG, Highsea sale, RodeTap/Duty scripts benefitsData Digitization, MIS & Reporting
Identify/participate/drive automation and digital transformation activities related to logistics (e.g., Analytics dashboards, Import/Export Visibility tool, Driving Automation and digital freight platforms).Monthly, yearly MIS reporting for driving KPIs result and achieve success.Standardization of HSN Master, Import/Export Master, QMS Control Documents , QMS process of logistics.Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Timely acquisition of import/export clearances.Zero non-compliance incidents in audits and inspections.Effective coordination with government departments & Freight partners leading to reduced turnaround time.Accurate and complete documentation for all shipments.Contribution to cost savings through Freight cost optimization, duty optimization and process efficiency.System Automation and report digitization.Qualification & Skills
BCOM+MBA or Btech+MBA, Qualification in Foreign Trade would be an added advantage.Must Computers Skills: Advance Power Point, Advance Excel, PowerBI, Power App proficient and good data analytics.Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Behavior’s Required for the Job)5-6 years of experience in similar fieldKnowledge, Technical Skills, and Nature of ExperienceBehavioral/Leadership SkillsGood communication both in written and verbal.
