Senior Specialist II - Test Automation
Responsible for translating system requirements into well-defined, measurable test cases that comprehensively cover functionalities, interactions and edge cases, working under general supervision. The role develops system test scripts using appropriate scripting languages and tools aligned with Philips' testing frameworks, selecting the most effective tools based on system complexity. The role identifies potential system-level risks through threat modeling and system analysis and designs scenarios to mitigate these risks, contributing to early defect detection and preventing critical issues. The role executes a comprehensive suite of system tests, including functional, integration, and regression testing, following established test plans and procedures.
Your Role:
Performs the role of a Senior Test Automation Specialist/Integration
Provide technical guidance, review support to the test team (manual and automation). Support & train test engineers on automation/process/domain
Formulate the test strategy for a product/subsystem including test automation
Participates in Review of test deliverables
Handle the estimation, planning , resource identification and risk management activities related to test automation
Use/Propose to team on suitable test automation approach
Lead and participate in automation test case development, review, execution, reporting and traceability
Ownership of completeness of all test documents
Manages technical communication within team and partners/stakeholders
Participates in improvement initiatives to enhance productivity
Drive the automation work within the team & aim to achieve committed automation coverage
Ownership of Test deliverables for the scope of work responsible
Mentor the junior testers on automation as Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Provide status update to management on overall test and automation progress
You are fit if:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant discipline
10+ years of experience on test discipline, test strategy, test automation
Prior experience of playing the role of test lead/architect is preferred
Hands on Experience with automation framework development is preferred
Experience in healthcare industry
Very strong Programming skills (preferably C#) is required.
Good experience on automation tools, scripting languages is required
Experience with BDD, Gherkin, Specflow is a must.
Strong experience in application life cycle management tools like ALM/PTC/TFS used for Verification activities
Good understanding of the defect management procedures and tools.
Good understanding of configuration management & related tools is required.
Expertise in test strategy, test design skills and able to guide the team on these.
Strong knowledge on the healthcare standards and its relevance to verification and validation activities.
Good understanding/experience of the healthcare/Interoperability standards is advantage.
Good understanding/experience in SAFe way of working.
Working with multisite teams, Quality conscious and Process & customer Oriented

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
