The Senior Specialist II, Incentives, Analytics & Reporting is primarily responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and accuracy of MBO incentive and commission plans, with a key role in configuring and maintaining data and processes, and developing functions pertaining to the Incentive Compensation Management Platform. This position also monitors and audits KPIs ensuring plans are in compliance with SECA regulations and business guidelines, as well ensuring appropriate alignment with HQ and company evaluations.
Role and Responsibilities
Incentive Compensation Management Platform:
Perform data management tasks as needed related to incentive plan setup (targets, KPIs), using both proprietary and productivity tools (e.g. Varicent ICM V10+, SQL Server, Excel).
Coordinates workflow needs or system aspects of compensation plan changes, data or transaction processing to ensure the system is ready to calculate outputs accurately.
Supports the blueprinting/business requirements process for system functions developments including data import processes from satellite systems and new business reports.
In-house expert on the latest and emerging Varicent V10+ functions (e.g. Presenter Adaptive, Rapid Reports, Report Data Model, Plan Document) to support evolving business requirements.
Performs system testing and change control, proactively communicates issues and carries through to resolution.
Reverse engineer, troubleshoot, and recommend alternative solutions as needed for related data processes developed by other and/or previous parties (e.g. SQL code, database server connection strings, Excel formula, and Varicent complete model build and saved imports).
Attention to detail with system calculation and output, and platform quality assurance.
Develop solid systems knowledge regarding incentive management system and respond to day-to-day inquiries.
Analytics and Reporting:
Continuously improve tools and processes that assist MBO program-eligible teams in monitoring and assessing business performance.
To support design, develop and maintain automated management reports, including but not limited to, monthly & quarterly scorecards to measure key operations metrics (i.e. Strategic KPIs, Company Evaluation).
Liaise with team leaders and business operations/reporting counterparts and provide assistance and recommendations on incentive design and processes as needed.
Support design proposals and complete simulations of MBO program changes with Management and businesses with analysis of historical trend, business forecast, and variable incentive pay standards.
Audit & Compliance
Collect and analyze system KPI data to support responses to audit inquiries.
Support the company’s annual GPPM risk items self-audit and related HQ process check-ups.
Collaborate with internal audit team on developing and implementing KPIs from post-audit action plans.
Participate in risk management team special projects relating to business and operational processes with measurable KPIs.
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting and/or Computer Science preferred.
Enrolled in an incentives or payroll standards certification program or equivalent is desirable.
Knowledge:
Technical skills using Excel/Word/PowerPoint with proven ability to learn new applications.
Ability to accurately “mine”, manipulate and move data to and from a variety of sources across multiple platforms; ability to query, sort, merge, combine, and summarize (e.g. SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MS Access / MS Excel).
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural business environment.
Team player and driven by a role that is impactful and relevant to the success of the team.
Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy in complex spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to draw well supported conclusions and recommendations based on detailed analysis.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines for multiple projects at a time.
Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
Relational database concepts and applications to system process integrity.
Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion & tact.
Experience:
Fluent in English and Korean language required (speaking, reading, writing).
A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience within sales operations, sales compensation or comparative field, and/or financial analysis experience supporting a sales organization.
Minimum 1-2 years hands-on experience in Varicent ICM V10+ tool and model-building - Composer, Presenter Adaptive and Rapid Reports, Web forms, Configure, Workflow, Schedule, Report Data Model, Plan Document modules preferred.
