What do you contribute?

Your new role will take you into the engineering of our state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly locomotives. In the "Locomotive Complete" group, we support the development of our vehicles with regard to the transversal topics of variant management, weight management, vehicle demarcation, fire protection and environmental protection. Your work will mainly focus on ecodesign and variant management. To this end, you will work closely with our mechanical engineering department and help with the development of components/systems, and particularly their integration into the overall vehicle, considering the transversal topics mentioned above. You will regularly coordinate with other engineers (f/m/d) and provide advice and support (e.g. on sustainability considerations, eco design requirements etc.) from the offer process to authorization as an expert (f/m/d).

What do you bring along?

The basis of your success is a completed master's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on railway or vehicle technology or sustainability/environmental protection. In addition, you have several years of relevant professional experience in engineering in the field of (rail) vehicles or ecodesign/environmental protection. You are proficient in the common tools of the MS Office package (esp. Excel) as well as SAP or Teamcenter. In this interface-rich position, your open and communicative nature will help you since you will work with international teams from Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, the USA, India and other countries. Advanced English skills, German skills on level B2 or higher as well as your willingness to travel domestically and abroad round off your profile. We live the "new normal" – so it goes without saying that you can do a crucial part of your work on the go.
