Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Specialist to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in contract review and negotiation, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department. This role involves supporting the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company policies, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, POs, vendor agreements, and licensing agreements, under supervision.
• Apply contract playbooks and established guidelines to ensure consistent and compliant contract review.
• Identify and escalate non-standard terms and risks to senior team members or relevant functional groups.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (procurement, finance, business units) to align contract terms with business objectives.
• Support the contract approval workflow and maintain accurate records of contract reviews and negotiations.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of contract templates and playbooks.
• Learn and utilize CLM tools and Microsoft Office applications for contract management.
• Participate in training sessions and support junior team members as needed.
**Qualifications:**
• LL.B. or equivalent legal qualification from a recognized university.
• 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in contract review and negotiation.
• Experience with contract playbooks, approval workflows, and contract management systems is preferred.
**Skills:**
Required Skills
• Solid understanding of contract law and commercial legal principles.
• Ability to review and negotiate contracts with guidance.
• Familiarity with CLM platforms (e.g., Icertis, Conga, Agiloft, DocuSign) is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
